"Let me begin by describing my daily processes prior to the implementation of Net Terminal. The schedule for the following day is reviewed to determine patient balances and co-payments due. An excel spreadsheet is populated with all expected payments. As patients pay, no show, or conveniently leave their check books at home, the spreadsheet is adjusted to hopefully reflect the actual amount collected that day. Due to the cost of credit card/check processing terminals we were limited to one causing anyone from the receptionist to the A/R staff to have to leave their stations and the patient unattended to process a payment. This process was consuming a minimum of two hours per day for the reconciliation process alone. I manage a small two physician specialty practice so can you imagine how long it was taking our practices with five to six physicians on staff.

Now, let me describe our processes since the implementation of Net Terminal. The schedule for the following day is reviewed to determine patient balances and co-payments due but, you no longer have to manage a spreadsheet. Amazingly enough, as you enter payments into Net Terminal, it separates them into cash, credit, or check as well as whether the payment was a co-payment or a balance due. At the end of the day, the previous lengthy process of reconciliation is resolved to the printing of a report. Even better, each person has a terminal on their desktop. No more leaving the patient to run a transaction, everything is at your fingertips. Oh, and looking up previous transactions is a breeze, the days of pulling boxes of receipts is long gone.

In a nutshell, since the implementation of Net Terminal bank deposits are made on time and hours have been freed from employee’s work day."
